BDO adopts single global name worldwide

BDO, the world’s fifth largest accountancy network, is pleased to announce that, effective 1 January 2010, all its member firms in 110 countries worldwide have adopted the single global trading name of ‘BDO’.
The transition process began last October, with BDO’s 1,138 offices worldwide being given up to 3 months to complete implementation of the single name, which includes the adoption of new statutory names for most firms, as well as a refreshed visual identity.

Jeremy Newman, CEO of BDO said: “What matters to our clients is that we provide the best possible professional advice and highest quality service on a worldwide basis. The transition to a single global trading name underlines our ongoing commitment to deliver this to our clients nationally and internationally.

“BDO has the advantage of having a strong reputation in the countries in which we operate together with the benefit of global branding. Our clients take comfort in that because as and when they expand overseas, or if they already have international operations, they know that we are capable of delivering to the same standard in all the countries in which we are represented as they are used to getting in their home country”.

New Zealand – courtesy of the dateline – Brazil and the UK were among the first firms within the network to make the name change on 1 October 2009, with both larger (USA, Germany, Canada, Netherlands) and smaller firms (Bolivia, Croatia, Jordan, Singapore) completing the network’s transition on 31 December 2009.

Jeremy Newman comments: “Our transition to the single global trading name is the culmination of many years of strategic and operational investment and engagement. At BDO, we know that the key to delivering exceptional quality service and advice to clients is to ensure that we have committed and engaged people who recognise and understand that what matters to their clients matters to them.

"We will continue to invest in our people, methodology and tools to meet our clients’ everevolving needs and ensure that they receive a strong local service, combined with access to an exceptional global network delivering quality service on a consistent global basis”.
