Receiver of Revenue Good Standing Certificates

The Ministry of Finance issued a press statement with regards to the issuing of certificates of good standing for tax purposes, last week. 

The Ministry of Finance wish to remind all tenderers that it is a condition of the tendering process to submit an original certificate of good standing for tax purposes together with every tender.

The Ministry of Finance thus undertakes to issue the certificate of good standing for tax purposes within seven (7) days of the request.  It is therefore advisable to apply for the certificate well in advance.

Application for certificates can be done at the following office of the Directorate of Inland Revenue:

  • Windhoek
  • Walvis Bay
  • Oshakati
  • Rundu
  • Otjiwarongo
  • Keetmanshoop

It is advised that the tenderer should submit the application at the office where the tenderer is registered.

It is also advised that prospective tenderers ensure that they do not have any tax liability with the Directorate of Inland Revenue prior to applying for the certificate of good standing for tax purposes.  This includes all taxes due to the state, outstanding tax returns and non-compliance with the different tax laws of the country.
