Job overview

Reporting to the Risk Management Partner and Head of Audit and Assurance Quality Management, the Audit Quality and Risk Officer is responsible for performing day-to-day risk related activities.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Audit quality management and monitoring.
  • Maintaining of ISQC 1 risk registers and other related processes, policies and procedures.
  • Updating of risk manuals and procedures with changes in ISQC1, IESBA code of ethics.
  • Implementation of ISQM.
  • Coordination and attending Audit Quality meetings.
  • Working closely with the firm’s Training and Development Manager.
  • Coordinating the firm’s Independent Inspection Program.
  • Regular reporting to the partners.

Education and professional skills / knowledge

  • Registered CA or ACCA
  • Minimum 2 years post article experience in audit or risk management
  • Good knowledge of ISQC1
  • Highly technical and a passion for risk management and audit quality monitoring
  • IT literate with a high level of competence in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook), knowledge of Greatsoft will be an advantage;
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information;
  • Skilled at written and verbal communication – articulate and able to write appropriate professional communications. Strong interpersonal, a collaborative nature, and the ability to work in a cross-team environment;
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to perform / supervise multiple projects with competing deadlines and the ability to prioritise tasks in an appropriate manner;
  • High values in teamwork, client / customer service and professionalism;
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and client;
  • Ability and willingness to travel to various office locations;
