  Job overview

Reporting to the Audit Supervisor / Audit Senior, the level 1 CA Trainee is responsible for performing day-to-day auditing related activities as assigned to them by the Audit Supervisor / Audit Senior. In particular, the Junior Audit Assistant is responsible to:

  • Interpret, understand and execute the detailed instructions / auditing programme / assignment to meet the Client's expectations on each assignment;
  • Understand the departmental budget and objective of the department;
  • Understand the Firms Risk and Quality procedures, ensuring adherence to these.
  • Contribute to the culture of Quality, Ethical and Professional Behaviour of the Firm in a positive manner

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Take part in assignments and ensure tasks at hand are accurately and within given budgets as well as applying the Firm's Quality and Risk Procedures;
  • Ensure timeous completion of assignment and keeping to given deadlines;
  • Delivery of high standard, technically correct products (Reports, AFS, Management Accounts, etc.) to the clients;

Education and professional skills / knowledge

  • B.Compt (or equivalent) degree with an accredited institute;
  • Applicants must be CTA ready or in the process of completing their ACCA;
  • IT literate with a high level of competence in MS Office;
  • Skilled at written and verbal communication;
  • Dedicated and ambitious personality, with a passion to deliver the highest quality service to our clients;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team;
  • Ability to work under pressure.
